Steve Shatwell
Steve has managed SCP since 2007 overseeing a substantial growth in the number and variety of activities in that time. Steve is the prime carer for his brother, Richard, who has Downs Syndrome.

Dianne Welham
Dianne has managed the Newark Pod since its inception 2008 overseeing its rapid growth and transition to a Personal Budgets model. As a former teacher and mother to a daughter with Downs Syndrome, Dianne is eminently qualified to realise her vision of Day Service in Newark.

Anna Joyce
Anna joined SCP in 2011 and hit the ground running co-ordinating the ‘Flower Pod’, a ground breaking English grown cut flower business offering work opportunities for our clients. She has enormous experience of the Event business successfully growing Tonya’s Challenge into a thousand rider event as a volunteer.

Beverley Rayner
Beverley joined SCP in 2010 and has developed our trailblazing Ladies Group which takes Day Service into the community every week. The group have the opportunity to do things that they would never normally have the opportunity to do. Beverley also works for our Care Provider, TCP, and also volunteers on a number of other initiatives within SCP. An all-round good egg!!!

Judith Law
Judith joined SCP in 2010 as Administrator. Based in Southwell, she now takes charge of the overall admin function across the Project. Judith, along with Chris, co-ordinates the rural day service activity of the project.

Chris Lathlane
Based in Southwell, everyone in Newark and Sherwood knows Chris with her lifelong experience of work with adults with learning disabilities. She has undertaken a wide variety of roles within SCP since she joined in 2007 including the organisation of our famous holidays. Chris gives an amazing amount of her time in a voluntary capacity to make sure things get done!

Matt Raithby
Matt worked for SCP as a volunteer for 2 years whilst qualifying as an Adult teacher. Matt is now SCP’s in-house Tutor running the Monday Men’s group and specialising in IT, photography and recreational activities at Newark Pod.

Sharna Parker
Sharna joined SCP in 2010 as a trainee and quickly became an important part of the Newark Pod. Sharna is now SCP’s in-house classroom assistant and highly respected by colleagues and clients alike.
Trevor Gatie
Trevor oversees and keeps close control over all the financial aspects of the Charity creating regular management accounts and taking responsibility for the annual accounts. All in a voluntary capacity, he also gives freely of his time in numerous other activities throughout the year.

Ruth Lipton
Ruth has been at the Newark Pod since its inception at the end of 2008 and, as such, has been an integral part of its success to date. She is completely devoted to her work and loved by all our clients.

Sarah Thompson
Sarah is a most recent addition to the team effectively job sharing with Ruth. She is already a great asset at Newark and has put her wealth of admin experience to great effect.

Claire Sawdon
Claire is the expert on all things academic acting as support and mentor to sessional tutors. She is also the ‘go to’ person on policies and procedures that underpin the governance of the whole project.
